Donations help to cover the costs associated with the clean ups.

No experience necessary for any one interested in volunteering.

9am - 12pm

Volunteer Work

 

Volunteer in Westerleigh & Northleigh Parks

Join us for a volunteer group clean up

every Wednesday from 9am - 12pm in Westerleigh & Northerleigh Parks.

Volunteer clean up sites alternate each weekend.

Donations help to cover the costs associated with the clean ups.

No experience necessary for any one interested in volunteering.

Halloween & Scarecrow Festival

 

Kids Halloween & Scarecrow Festival in Westerleigh Park

Come dressed up and trick or treat while enjoying activities and games.

Halloween & Scarecrow Festival with a children's costume parade in the park.

Music and 50/50 for all attendees.

Join us for a neighborhood tradition where Santa and his many helpers drive around the 

neighborhood from 1pm-3:15pm and give out free toys to the kids.

Come Learn To Tie Some Knots & Ropes With The Urban Park Rangers in Westerleigh Park

Join us for a neighborhood event where are highly skilled Urban Park Rangers will 

teach children how to tie knots and ropes in Westerleigh Park.

The event is free and the Urban Park Rangers will provide the ropes!

 

Two-day Tree Mulch Fest in Westerleigh Park

 

Saturday & Sunday

January 11 & January 12

10am-2pm

Mulch Fest

Come drop off your real Christmas tree at the Corner of Neal Dow Avenue and Maine Avenue

For our annual Mulch Fest. 

Wrap up the holiday season by saying goodbye to your tree at a Mulch fest in Westerleigh Park!

Drop it off and the NYC Parks Department will  convert each tree it into mulch.

These efforts serve to make NYC even greener.

​

Free bags of mulch will be available at select sites on Jan. 11 and 12 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Winter Wonderland Event For World

Snow Day

 

Winter Wonderland Event: Make a Snow Flake Craft With The Urban Rangers

Come to Westerleigh Park and join our urban park rangers for a World Snow Day celebration! 

Children will discover the science of winter weather with our park rangers. They will

Learn how the cold weather brings changes in landscape and habitats in our parks and discover the composition of snow flakes and how each one takes a unique shape.

Children will be able to make their own snowflake craft for free!​​
