The Westerleigh Parks Coalition was established in April 2017. Its purpose, in part, was and continues to build upon the legacy of a former organization, The Friends of Westerleigh Park. The commitment of this prior organization was to maintain/enhance the park that is the centerpiece of the Westerleigh community – Westerleigh Park – and to sponsor social events for all to enjoy.
In addition, the mission of the Westerleigh Parks Coalition is to maintain/enhance another park in the local community – Northerleigh Park – a park that is on the perimeter of the community. With some tender loving care, it is the hope of the organization that this latter park will, in time, also be recognized as another jewel in the Westerleigh community.
